Vista Point on Highway 5

For a while now, on the long drives back from Russelle’s house, I would frequently stop my car to capture some sweet views. What is suppose to be a 6 hour drive, quickly becomes 8+. The weather in Norcal is always so beautiful and great for pictures. Before leaving it completely, I always want one last chance to soak everything in.

Coming home this time, I did what I always did: adjust my seats for maximum comfort, drive with my tunes at full blast, and enjoyed the beautiful view that’s ahead of me. If you’re ever on a long drive, with plenty of time to kill, my most recommended tip would be checking out¬†Vista Points. For those who didn’t play Guild Wars 2, Assassin’s Creed, or other exploring¬†games growing up, Vista Points are just exits off of the freeway that lead to amazing scenic views.

They’re a great place to be alone, think, and relax. More often than not, they’re an awesome place to photograph; and if you’re really tired during the drive, most Vista Points allow up to 8 hours of parking. It’s a great place to take a nap and it’s usually very quiet there. So the next time you’re on a road trip, visit the Vista Points! So what if it takes a little more time? It’s about the journey not the destination.
