Vista Point on Highway 5

For a while now, on the long drives back from Russelle’s house, I would frequently stop my car to capture some sweet views. What is suppose to be a 6 hour drive, quickly becomes 8+. The weather in Norcal is always so beautiful and great for pictures. Before leaving it completely, I always want one last chance to soak everything in.

Coming home this time, I did what I always did: adjust my seats for maximum comfort, drive with my tunes at full blast, and enjoyed the beautiful view that’s ahead of me. If you’re ever on a long drive, with plenty of time to kill, my most recommended tip would be checking out Vista Points. For those who didn’t play Guild Wars 2, Assassin’s Creed, or other exploring games growing up, Vista Points are just exits off of the freeway that lead to amazing scenic views.

They’re a great place to be alone, think, and relax. More often than not, they’re an awesome place to photograph; and if you’re really tired during the drive, most Vista Points allow up to 8 hours of parking. It’s a great place to take a nap and it’s usually very quiet there. So the next time you’re on a road trip, visit the Vista Points! So what if it takes a little more time? It’s about the journey not the destination.
